Testimony

I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth.  I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he did see and do everything that he said he did.  I know that he translated the Book of Mormon, and that we can receive answers to our prayers through the Book of Mormon.  I am so grateful for everything the Joseph Smith did for this church.

I know that Christ atoned for our sins, and because of that we are able to return to live with our Heavenly Father.  I also know that because of this we are not alone in this life.  When we feel like no one knows what we are going through and no one can help us, there is someone.  Christ has gone through everything we have gone through, so we should always turn to him with our hardships and trials.  He can help us.  WE DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS LIFE ALONE!

I know the power of prayer, if we pray with a sincere heart and real intent, we will receive answers.  I have learned that you have to really want to go through with what you are asking in a prayer to be able to receive an answer.  I also know that as we pray and pour out everything little thing in our life that we will feel Heavenly Fathers love for us.

I am so grateful for this church and that we have living prophets to lead and guide us.  I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and that when he speaks he is speaking what God needs us to hear.  I also know that all of the leaders in this church are called of God and that we should listen to their guidance and council.

I know that living your standards is a good thing, even if it isn't always the popular thing to do.  I know that being told that "you seem like the type that would go on a mission" is not a bad thing.  I used to get offended when people would criticize me for being too much of a 'molly mormon' but it IS NOT A BAD THING TO LIVE YOUR GOSPEL!  I know that one day when we are standing in the presence of Christ and Heavenly Father that we will be proud that we lived a righteous life.  The popular thing to do, will not necessarily get you the farthest in life.

I am so grateful for the gospel and the peace it brings me.  I know that Christ will ALWAYS be there for me, whatever I am going through, he knows me personally, and he can help me.  I know that as we live our lives righteously that we will be able to return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  This gospel brings SO much joy, happiness, and peace in my life.  It gives me purpose as I live my life. I love Christ so much and am so grateful for everything he has done for me.
